The Chlamydia Basic Research Society has been organized to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of research on the basic biology and pathogenesis of diseases caused by the chlamydiae. The primary activity of the society will be a biennial conference where investigators will be encouraged to present their current research in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, structure, immunology, and pathogenic mechanisms of disease. Another major goal of the society is to encourage the active participation of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and new investigators in the meetings and the research field.
Become a Member
All investigators, technical staff, students, and post-doctoral fellows are eligible to become members of the CBRS.
Membership is automatic with registration for the biennial meeting and will extend for the 2 year period until the next biennial meeting. Investigators, faculty and staff members are considered to be full members and are entitled to vote in the society and to be qualified to hold office. Student members (post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students) are not eligible to vote or hold office in the society.
The dues will be the registration fee for the biennial meeting and may vary depending on the meeting site for each meeting, but every effort is made to keep the registration/dues at an affordable level. Students registration will always be less than that of the full membership.
